Acquia: Where is the Media module at or why I spent DrupalCon in a corner w/ my laptop

Like many Drupalcons, I spent nearly the entire conference preparing my presentations. This is no fun, but we’ve been so busy trying to get the new gallery feature in Drupal Gardens released that it was the only way.

Well, it happened again. For two days members of the popular Open Source platforms Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress got together to treat attendees to a marathon of training sessions. I would be remiss not to mention that there was also a small contingency of .net developers as well.

After much discussion as to whether to add a fluid width option to Bartik (Drupal 7’s new default theme) we decided to place a fluid width subtheme in contrib until Drupal 8.

The new subtheme is called Antonelli, the name is in reference to Jean Bartiks work colleague Kathleen Antonelli.

Besides working on Drupal core, I help maintain one contributed module: the Mollom module. It reminds me what it’s like to maintain a contributed module and to depend on Drupal core, what it’s like to develop a module with a constantly and sometimes rapidly changing core. It is healthy.
